Tutorial: A simple reindeer decoration.

 

Do you want to make one of these?  Well then you will need:

 

• Paper straws
• Glue
• A red or brown button
• Paper and pen
• Some small twigs from the garden or the park
• Some String, a pipe cleaner, wool or ribbon
   

 

First you will need to cut 3 pieces of 10cm long straws.

 

Then you will need to glue it into a V shape then put two dots of glue about 1cm to 1.5 cm from the top like in the photo above.  When you have done that place the third piece on straw across the top like this.

 

At a bit of glue at the bottom of the triangle, like in the photo below and...

 

stick your button on it.  This will be your reindeer's nose.

 

For the antlers grab some small twigs and using more glue, stick them into place.

 

For the eyes I just drew some on paper and then cut them out before sticking in place...

Then you have your very own reindeer. 

 

You will have to wait an hour or so before the glue is strong enough to hold, then you can add string, ribbon or whatever you choose to tie to your reindeer and hang on your christmas tree.

 

 

 

You can use lolly sticks instead, but I found straws worked lovely too.
